Haarlem and surroundings
Haarlem is the capital of North Holland, with an old city centre around the Grote Markt and St Bavo's Church (Sint-Bavokerk). Around the centre are neighbourhoods from the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, and on the east side Schalkwijk, built in the 1960s and 1970s.
Haarlem has many listed buildings (monumenten), especially in the city centre. If your home is a listed building, say so in your job description: a lot of work on a listed building needs a permit, and a professional will take that into account in their proposal.
With a job in Heemstede, Bloemendaal, Zandvoort, Velsen, Spaarndam, Hoofddorp or Overveen you're welcome here too: what counts is whether your address falls within the radius of a handyman, not which municipality it's in.
How your job reaches a handyman in Haarlem
When a handyman signs up, they choose a working area: a radius around their work address, measured in a straight line. If your job in Haarlem falls within that radius and they offer the trade and service of your job, they see your job and can send you a proposal.
AlMijnKlussen is new, so we can't promise how many proposals you'll get: that depends on the handymen who have signed up with Haarlem in their working area. Posting is free and without obligation.
What to put in your job description
- A list of all the small jobs, so one professional can do them in one go.
- For hanging things: what it is, roughly how heavy, and whether the wall is brick, concrete or plasterboard if you know.
- For furniture: make and model, or the name of the product.
- Whether the materials are already there or the professional should bring them.
- Photos of the spot where it needs doing.

Frequently asked questions
Who sees my address?
Professionals see the town of your job and a rough spot on the map (to within about a kilometre), never your exact address. You share your full address yourself — only when you want to, with the professional you choose.
Can I put several small jobs into one post?
Yes. List them all in your description and choose ‘General odd jobs’ as the service. A professional can then send one proposal for all of them.
